Nonna Fran used to annoy me as a kid. Why oh why did we have to get dropped at school just in time? Can't she just drop us off at the school gate with wet hair and daggy house clothes like the other mums? No, never. She had to shower , wash her hair and do her make up every morning. She NEVER left the house without lipstick. Ever. She does this because she believes she is worth her own time. To this day she even gardens and enjo's with her lippy on (well not today, she's walking the Jalan's of Bali, but the lippy will be on for sure). Now those lippy overload genes have rubbed off on me!
I'm not great at makeup. I've never really learnt how to do it. I've got by just watching my family and friends do theirs. I've got a decent portfolio of makeup and brushes but I have no idea how to apply it properly. You know, so I can achieve ultimate hotness in my own skin????
How are those smoking hot eyes done? How do you avoid mascara lumping togetherness? Do I go all the way or half way with eyeliner? What tones suit my colouring? To blush or not to blush? Is there enough concealer in the world? I didn't have any idea. I've been faking it all along!
Until.......
I went to Camp Beauty with Penny from Sshh Mummys on the Phone.
We rocked up feeling entirely naked, at least Penny had gloss, I was totes au-naturale. Thank GOD I've been getting laser on my lady beard, or it would have been really hideous!

Camp Beauty is a one stop lady time sanctuary to learn how to do an everyday face of make up in 5 minutes and a super hot going out face in 15 minutes. The sessions run for 2 hours which is perfectly doable to leave your kids with Dad or another more competent supervisor.
Each participant has everything they need at their fingertips, including lots of one on one help. With class sizes limited to 10 there is ample time to learn, ask questions and practice. It's a great ladies day out with friends too!

| It's all happening: application methods, note books and afternoon treats! |
You'll discover celebrity makeup artists and hairdressers Michelle and Jo ooze enthusiasm as they reign you in to lift your confidence in makeup application. They achieved this for me and I have too many Instagram photos of the experience to prove it!

| OK, OK top right corner, UGLY... but the improvement upon steps for ultimate hotness are clear. #ImaylooklikeasadpandabutIwasnt |
The whole idea of the 5 minute face is to look lovely and fresh with just the essentials. Everyone has the ability to do that and taking the 5 minutes to look your best will do more for you than the extra 5 minutes you may spend on social media!
Oh and eyebrows, it's one part of my body I'm glad to have hair on. I didn't realise good eyebrows were so important!
I was so thrilled with the makeup I did on myself, I forced Penny to take HOT photos of me outside the Camp Beauty HQ in Cherrybrook, Sydney.
